Church Alive
We are intentional in communicating the message of Jesus Christ, and intentional in encouraging others to join us on the journey.
Pastor Jimmy came to Church Alive from Southeastern University and became the youth pastor in 2003. Shortly after, he married his wife Amanda, to whom he has now been married for twenty years.
In 2008, Jimmy and Amanda relocated to Alabama, their home state, where they served as youth pastors for ten years.
In 2017, Pastor Jimmy returned to Church Alive to serve as the Executive Pastor. In addition to his executive role, he launched Alive Leadership College and oversaw the men’s ministry. Amanda works in the medical field as a registered nurse.
On June 24, 2022, Jimmy + Amanda Lunsford
were voted in as the Lead Pastors at Church Alive.

Our Values
People
The Church is not a building; it's a people—a people surrendered to God, committed to each other, and focused on knowing Jesus and making him known. That is why people will always be more important than platforms or programs. We want to love what God values most: people.
Generosity
Generosity is a Kingdom Mindset that makes a difference in our community. It means giving ourselves to Jesus and others through time, talent, and resources. Never forget that we are stewards, not owners, of every good gift God gives us.
Growth
The growth we seek is intentional, not accidental. It is not about a destination but a lifelong process. Growing is learning to lead, love, and serve like Jesus. It is Biblically-centered and mission-focused—calling us to become both a disciple and a disciple-maker.
Excellence
Demonstrating excellence is not about perfection but about honoring God with the gifts, talents, creativity, and provision He's given us. It's about putting our whole hearts into what we do, knowing why we do what we do matters to God and others.
